This Year’s Collaboration With the Croatian Film Festival Pulica u kaputu Has Begun!
11th winter edition (January 7–18, 2026) of Pulica u kaputu, film days for children and young audiences organized by the oldest and nationally most significant Croatian film festival – the Pula Film Festival and Kino Valli.
Nataša Šimunov, manager of Kino Valli and our long-time collaborator, commented on this year’s collaboration:
Pulica u kaputu joins the highly valuable ‘Film in Hospital’ project, enabling one film from our program to be available on the free online platform filmubolnici.org. Through this platform, hospitalized children and young people in more than 20 hospitals can enjoy carefully selected film over a two-month period, stimulate creativity, and brighten their days in the hospital.
This year Pulica u kaputu brings us the film Tomorrow I’ll Be Brave, a recent ECFA award winner at the Schlingel International Film Festival for Children and Young Audiences in Chemnitz 2025. The film is still being shown at festivals but it’s also available exclusively and for free on the online platform filmubolnici.org for all hospitalized children and young people until March 12.
Nataša Šimunov shared the film’s values for a young audience:
Tomorrow I Will Be Brave is a gentle and warm coming-of-age story about twelve-year-old Karlo, who explores his first emotions, confidence, and courage while facing first love and his own fears. The film has been praised for portraying young viewers’ feelings with great respect and empathy, through humor, playfulness, and emotions that children recognize as their own. The director approaches themes such as self-confidence, expressing feelings, friendship, and creative expression with understanding and at a ‘child’s level,’ emphasizing that courage means learning and growing through experiences.
Nataša Šimunov will once again visit the pediatric department of Pula General Hospital, where she will present the film to children and young viewers.
