Il Nuovo Fantarca is a social cooperative founded in Bari in 1999, with a focus on cinema for children. Their work promotes human rights, nonviolence, social justice and personal development through media education, media literacy, and creative use of multimedia — including in art therapy.
For over 30 years, they’ve organized children’s and youth film festivals, as well as video and media literacy workshops in schools, prisons, Roma communities, streets and social housing — encouraging creativity, cultural expression and connection.
The Film in Hospital project in Italy is implemented nationwide and includes 29 hospitals.
